This also caused Elon Musk to announce efforts to prevent such injuries only one day later. Their plan is to use a large steel plate that is cooled using water. Elon Musk’s new technology is essential for launching space rockets.
Of course, SpaceX was working on this particular page three months ago; But they could not prepare it for the test launch. In fact, SpaceX engineers thought that the concrete under the launch pad would withstand a single rocket launch. Something that did not happen in reality. Fortunately, SpaceX has released a new video showing an early version of the steel plate going up against a Raptor.
At the end of the test, the steel plate is still intact. Although the target plate must be able to withstand the extraordinary power of the 33 Raptor engines in the first stage, that is why it is still under development. Elon Musk previously said that SpaceX is preparing several Starship rockets at the same time and could test another flight soon.
