BOE Electronics set a new industry standard at Display Week 2023 by unveiling its 110-inch 16K BOE display.
Beijing Oriental Electronics (Beijing Oriental Electronics) presented the world’s first screen with 16K resolution, a screen that no graphics card is ready for, and to be able to run games on it, you need the world’s fastest graphics card.
The display has a stunning 16K (15360 x 8640) resolution and a standard 60Hz refresh rate. The 110-inch 16K BOE display has 132 million pixels, which is significantly more than standard 1080p or 1440p resolutions.
This display has up to 16 times more pixels than 4K monitors, and this is the first time we encounter a display of this quality in the electronics industry. Of course, most GPUs on the market still can’t handle such a large display, so working with it will have its own challenges.
Features a 110-inch 16K BOE display
Some of the features of this new product promoted by BOE include:
- Very high resolution and beyond the retina
- LCD panel and dimensions of 110 inches
- Brightness 400 nits
- 99% DCI-P3 color coverage
- The possibility of home use
The LCD panel of this product produces a contrast ratio of 1200:1 and is able to cover 99% of the P3 color space with a brightness of 400 nits.
At close range, the large panel has no visible pixels. Considering that displays of this size have visible pixels, this feature can be considered one of the strengths of this product.
BOE is the first company to market extraordinary electrical products with groundbreaking innovations. But despite the impressive capabilities, such technologies are not suitable for the consumer market due to the high price and manufacturing complexities.
In addition, it is still unclear whether BOE will market this product or not; Because BOE has not yet said anything about the possible introduction or release of products with similar technology and 16K to the market, and no official ruling has been published for it.
