The ability to edit WhatsApp messages has finally arrived

WhatsApp finally introduced the ability to edit messages. WhatsApp is trying to add more features to its platform and now it has presented one of the most attractive ones.

WhatsApp now supports the ability to edit the sent message, and all you have to do is hold your finger on the message you want to edit and then select the Edit option or the pencil button from the menu. This feature only works up to 15 minutes after sending the message, and after that you cannot make any changes to your sent message.

As soon as you edit the sent message, the word “Edited” will be seen next to the message so that others will know that you have edited that message. This will eliminate the possibility of abuse. However, the edit history will not be displayed and the audience will not be able to see what you have edited.

It should be mentioned that all these works will be done in end-to-end encryption and the security of the edited messages will still be maintained. The new WhatsApp feature is now available to all users and will be fully available to them in the coming weeks. So if you don’t have the ability to edit WhatsApp messages, you have to wait. These changes will be applied by the server and manually updating the application does not affect getting it earlier.

WhatsApp has recently tried to attract some Telegram and iMessage users by providing more features or to prevent its users from migrating to other messengers.
