The new Toyota Tacoma model will have two engines. The default or so-called standard engine of this pickup is a 2.4-liter 4-cylinder turbocharged model. This engine in SR trim can produce 228 horsepower and 330 Nm of torque. In higher trims that have an 8-speed automatic transmission, this engine is capable of producing 278 horsepower and 430 Nm of torque. In some other trims, whose power transmission is entrusted to a 6-speed manual gearbox, the aforementioned 4-cylinder engine delivers 270 horsepower and 420 Nm of torque to the driver.
The other engine of the 2024 Toyota Tacoma, which is called i-FORCE MAX, uses a 2.4-liter gasoline engine and a 48-horsepower electric motor, producing a total of 326 horsepower and 630 Nm. This engine, which is considered the highest engine of this van, is paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission. According to Toyota, this hybrid engine is looking for lower fuel consumption, the exact details of which will be shared at a later date closer to the launch of this pickup.
The rear-wheel drive versions of the Tacoma pickup use an automatic limited slip differential, and the two-wheel drive or four-wheel drive versions are equipped with an auxiliary gearbox or a 2-speed transfer case with electronic control. Toyota has considered electronic locking rear differential for TRD PreRunner, TRD Off-Road, TRD Pro and Trailhunter trims, and versions equipped with i-FORCE MAX engine have a central differential lock. Also, the new Limited trim uses a full-time four-wheel drive system.
Interior and safety/welfare facilities

The audio system of this Toyota van belongs to the JBL brand and has 10 speakers, and even a FLEX portable speaker of this brand will be available to the buyer. The 2024 Tacoma model comes standard with Toyota’s Safety Sense 3.0 driver assistance system.
